Illustration has always been at the core of all my varied art experiences. Everything I have done has in some way been related to the first time a picked up a pencil and started drawing. As I learned more about art I developed a fascination with the great illustrators like Rockwell, N.C. Wyeth, Maxfield Parrish, Leyendecker, et al. and learned from them by studying and copying their work.
I began my career using traditional methods of illustration working in oils, acrylics and airbrush (anyone remember the Pasche AB?) but I adapted quickly to the computer (Quantel Paintbox) when introduced to it in 1985 at KABC's Design Graphics department in Hollywood. Then came the Mac and Adobe Photoshop and I haven't looked back since.
The images in this section are a few samples of my illustration work. All of it was done in Adobe Photoshop on a Mac G4 using a Wacom graphics tablet. (unless otherwise noted)
They cover a very broad range of applications as well as styles and many could have also been placed within
the concept art page or even the fine art page but that would be redundant so they will remain here.
Noteworthy: A couple of the images were digital murals for Disney Imagineering's Disney Quest project and were printed as large as fifteen feet high by fifty feet wide or more!
